Doc - What's Cooking Doc? our founder and head chef has this to say,
'It's been a real privilege being able to serve so many people these past 5 years. My primary purpose in running a F&B has always been about creating foods to encourage people to improve their eating habits for better health and combating diabetes and other lifestyle-related diseases.
After 5 years, I felt it is time for a change, so as to allow me to fully focus on using my F&B outlet to conduct Food & Health related dining events, workshops and traninig programmes.
So on 30th March (Sat) 2019

And on 1st April (Mon) 2019, a unique education focused F&B

shall be saying HELLO
We are still going to be cooking and serving food be at the same place, #02-17, CT Hub, 2 Kallang Avenue, but it will be fully focused on reservation-only Eat & Learn programmes, Food & Health related workshops and programmes.

Our GOALS
Our goal is to enable and encourage people to Learn & Practise Better Eating Habits for Health, starting with choosing Better Staples and getting Plant-Stronger at every single meal.
Our FOOD PHILOSOPHY
We do not claim nor endeavour to serve the most 'perfectly' healthy foods, we simply want to create and serve foods to encourage our customers to enjoy better staples and love vegetables more, and to carry on doing so as a habit after dining at The Bento People. So we created many Singaporean's favourite foods using Better Staples as well as a Make Your Own Bento menu with many Plant-Strong dishes for people to choose from.

Dr Chan ('Doc'), Founder & Chef at The Bento People is also the Medical Director and Principal Trainer at Engines of Health, a company that conducts workshops, seminars and programmes to help participants jumpstart healthier eating habits to combat diabetes, cardiovascular diseases and other lifestyle-related diseases.
Doc, on top of working in the kitchen, is also passionate about using The Bento People as a living classroom for healthier eating habits, frequently interacting with customers at The Bento People during lunch and dinner services, advocating healthy eating and encouraging them to explore healthier eating options.
